MIL gave me another bag full of peaches, so I decided to try some peach cobbler since they were a bit bruised and better for baking. I have never made peach cobbler before, so I though who better to look to for a Southern dessert, than Paula Deen?! This recipe is adapted from her recipe listed on the Food Network’s website. The only changes I made were the addition of a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg on the fruit and then on top of the dough. Turned out pretty good. I’d like to try another recipe next time though. This one was good, but not mind-blowing. There is a one for a pecan-struesel peach cobbler in a cookbook I got when I was in Charleston, SC. Will probably have to wait until next summer now!
